“Lighting Sound – NewTec Innovations” 25th of March in the center of light “Palantir
A seminar “Lighting Sound – NewTec Innovations” was held on the 25th of March in the center of light “Palantir”. (more info: http://stream.ifolder.ru/11281944 in russian)
The weather was not good and we were afraid that fewer guests would come than we expected. In fact the seminar hall was full.
It was a pleasant surprise to see that not only registered guests but also those without pre-registration attended our seminar. The representatives of our traditional partners the well-known TV show in Russia - “Housing Question”(which you can see on NTV on Saturdays) also visited the seminar.
The representatives of NewTec Design: Audio in Russia held the seminar at a highly-professional level introducing different products and series. The most eye-catching product according to the visitors’ poin of view was a pendant acoustic lamp Diablo. Alexander , a reporter and technical specialist, told about the peculiarities of NewTec equipment. We would like to share with you this information.
To begin with, the design decisions of the lamps and acoustic systems go deep to the past. They are created by an Italian team of designers, who have been working under the design light and sound decisions of auto giant AUDI. This experience helped to achieve the highest quality of sound together with compact size.
The second question of the seminar was the purpose of lamps. The first variant was evident: the use of NewTec light and sound models as a basis for home theaters. A part of the seminar was devoted to this purpose. Later on it turned out that NewTec products have other unique peculiarities.
The most characteristic one is the construction and technology of the sound part. The case is that usual loudspeakers give “direct sound” coming directly from the loudspeaker to the listener. Thus our brain can immediately determine the sound source. Quite another approach is used in NewTec acoustic systems, which allows to create a “circle” sound wave, the source of which is difficult to determine. It is not a bare theory. “Palantir” was equipped with a system of two NewTec products: Cono Solo Lux and Cono Duo Lux. We made sure that no one could determine the sound source without knowing it beforehand. Because of it there is a possibility to use NewTec products as mood-creators. We must add that part of the products is available for the use in open air with additional IP protection. The company representative offered to use this peculiarity in a very creative way: many trading objects, especially small shops and boutiques understand the role of correct light for trading purposes, but only few of them use sound. NewTec systems are a unique possibility to use both quality light and sound in the street as an attracting factor without a damage to design. The effect of sound coming as if from nowhere is able to stop and attract a person.
In-Out modules are used to fulfill the function of control like in “Smart House”. In simple terms, one lamp and one small module allow turning on the sound at the moment when a person passes by, and control the volume. This fact in combination with the undefined sound source gives room for imagination up to the creation of unique WOW effects. Just imagine: you are going along the street when you hear a sound in your head: “Buy an elephant!” You cannot but stop and look around.
It’s a joke of course, but it is evident that it is convenient to use different functions earlier available only in expensive and difficult for installation “Smart House” systems.
Using street lamps-columns NewTec Tubo Modulo one can create lanes and alleys, if you are going along them the sound will follow you. Besides light and sound can work independently from each other. You can make light chaser working according to the rhythm of music. You can also program the time of switching on/off the music, or program it to play at your presence. All this is possible with the use of one little module.
NewTec company also works with special orders. NewTec sounding lamps, especially Diabolo, are available with different furniture, leather for example of different shades, or with the use of Swarovski covering.
At the end of the article we should touch upon the question of price. It goes without saying, NewTec Design: Audio products are status products. It is oriented at the customer, who can afford to stand out of the pack. Lamps and sound systems NewTec Design: Audio cannot be called cheap. The company wants to see its products in the interiors and exteriors, where it is possible to create a special atmosphere.
